Renovations Complete!
Ok, so I have a lot of time on my hands today. I uploaded pictures of our new siding and gutters. Fred also installed a new porch light by the back door and a new light over the garage with a motion sensor.
Our (Fred and his dad’s) next projects will be replacing the wood frame around the garage door (that’s rotting) and re-cementing and painting the foundation blocks around the house and garage.
One more post for today!
As I am on vacation this week, I was actually home for part of the day today. I just happened to walk out onto our little front porch and saw a gorgeous monarch butterfly. He was loving my flower box flowers, and I was able to get some pretty good pictures. Heh, and Fred thinks we need a better camera! My little 3 mega-pixel does just fine
Vacation Week
This past week, both Fred and I have been on vacation (him from his summer job, me from my all-the-time job!). On Monday night we left for a camping trip at Beaver Creek State Park. It was great, we took Nina, our little tent and some of my dad’s camping gear for a 3 night trip. The park was peaceful; we were one of three families camping, and the other two were on the other side of the park. We hiked all 16 miles of trail and played many games of cards next to the fire. Today I uploaded the pictures we took also.

Our trip did have it’s problems, however:Fred didn’t have the best luck with cooking, everything he made for himself, like his corn on the cob, his foil pack fajitas, and his fire pie, came out a bit crispy, but the things he made me all turned out great! I forgot to bring the toothbrushes and toothpaste, luckily there was a store near by! We survived a thunderstorm Wednesday night with almost no leaks in our tent. Next time, however, we decided we’d make sure the campgrounds have showers near by!
White Water Rafting
In June, my family went white water rafting in West Virgina on the New River. This is the second rafting trip we’ve done as a family, and it definitely was an interesting time! I finally got all the pictures my wonderful sister, Katherine took and uploaded them to our photo page.
