34 days!!!!

Daisypath Ticker

Fred and I will be getting married in just 34 for days! We’ve been so busy with work, graduate school, and just every day life, that I feel like there’s still a lot to do for our big day. With all the little things that need done, the most important part of our day needs no more preparation than what comes naturally for us; grow more in love for each other each day. So when people ask me if I’m ready, no matter how many things I have left on my to-do list for the wedding, I am completely ready to be Fred’s wife!

National Comic Book Day: What are you reading?

Posted by Fred on Sep 25, 2007 under Fred Stuff

Did you know that today is National Comic Book Day?

When : September 25th
National Comic Book Day is a super cool day. Share a comic book with a friend today. We don’t know of anyone who doesn’t like a good comic book.

To celebrate National Comic Book Day, I ask you “What are you reading?”

Here is what I am reading today:

Hawk Dove Bone

I am still reading through the full run of the 1989 Hawk and Dove. And…

My school is having a Scholastic Book Fair where I purchased 5 Jeff Smith Bone trades. These are smaller than regular comics and trades, but the price was right and it is raising funds for our Special Education Department.

So that is what I am reading, and again I ask “What are you reading this National Comic Book Day?”
Leave a comment letting us know what it is you are currently reading!

Go Zips!

Go Zips! The University of Akron Zips – 2005 MAC Champions and the winner of the 2007 meeting with Kent State.

Sara can say all she wants about Kent being a better school for teachers. I do have to say that I have a teaching degree from The University of Akron and have been using it since 1999 in Akron Ohio… Thats love for the city. (Manchester’s mailing address is Akron, Ohio)

The Beacon Journal on Monday had an article about voting for Zippy to be Capital One’s Mascot of the Year.

*****University of Akron Links to our Site******
We have had our site linked by 2 University of Akron sites since Sara posted about the game. One from AK-Oldies.org an alumni site, and one from UofAZIPS.com a blog by and for Zip fans.

As we get closer to the wedding in November I will change the main image back, but I am going to rub in the Akron victory for a little longer… Sara, at least I didn’t go through with the sushi threat.

Post Game Update

As you can probably tell, Akron University won the game today, the score was 27-20. So, now I owe Fred dinner…and he’s threatening sushi.

I still believe that Kent State is a better school, all around, especially in regards to their teacher education!

Kent State vs. University of Akron

Posted by Sara on Sep 22, 2007 under Fred Stuff, Sara Stuff

I’m not one to get excited about sports, especially football. Honestly, I’ve never really liked the game, what’s the point in watching a bunch of really big guys run into each other? Fred on the other hand, LOVES football; he says it’s his favorite season.

From the time Fred looked at the house we live in, he’s wanted to go to a Akron U game at the Rubber Bowl, which is right down the street. This year is one of the last years that Akron will use the Rubber Bowl for their games, because they are building a new stadium. So, when he mentioned going to a game this year, I wasn’t too excited. But, when he mentioned going to the Kent State vs. Akron game, I said okay. (Thanks to a co-worker of Fred’s for getting us tickets at no charge!)

Fred is an alumn from the University of Akron, and I am an alumn from Kent State University. These two schools are rivals in football. Last year Kent beat Akron 37-15 at Kent (Go Kent!), so I’m excited to go to the game today sporting my Kent State apparel.

Go Golden Flashes!

Go Kent State!
