Keeping up with Fred-n-Sara

I posted that comment on my twitter this morning, and that is what makes the Olympics special. I was not planning on watching any of the Olympics other than Basketball and Boxing, but this morning I noticed four dedicated HD channels of Olympic coverage and started watching.

I am not quite sure what the appeal of the Olympics are to you, but for me they remind me of my childhood. A childhood full of making up random sports and games with my friends… Maybe it’s time to go back out and play again. The Olympics are proof that growing up doesn’t mean you have to outgrow everything from your youth…

… well maybe wetting the bed should be outgrown.

Just make sure that you don’t let your imagaination sit stagnant. Go outside and play, no matter how yong or old you are.

I think it’s safe to say my favorite food is ice cream.  I’d eat it for every meal, every day, if I could and didn’t run the risk of seriously ruining my health (for now, 2-3 times a week is good!).  So, I saw this and thought it was a great idea:

Dairy Queen is having a “Miracle Treat Day” tomorrow.  If you buy a blizzard tomorrow, 100% of the proceeds will go to a local Children’s Miracle Network.  So you can induldge in some ice cream goodness without the guilt; it’s for a good cause!  This has been an annual fund raiser since 1994, I wish I would have known sooner, I would have been one of their biggest supporters!
