Yep - my mom was just like Stacy's and your dad!

I had to bring my spelling book home every Friday and write the words out twice for the fridge for the week. I hated it at the time, but it paid off!

My mom was always involved in school activities when I was young. Room mother, party helper...all the teachers knew her well. I think that forced me to behave and keep out of trouble...and even in middle and high school when she wasn't as involved, it carried over. I'm the same way with Aiden and I can't tell you how many times he has to rewrite his spelling words ;)

I like your blog design! My parents were always very involved in our school work. We will homeschool but I always tell people that you can "homeschool" and go to public school just by being involved with your kids!

I agree Michelle, you should join us!

I like this post. One thing my parents taught me was that even if it was not perfect the only thing that mattered is how much you tried. For example: if Itired my best on my math and got a d...I had to ask myself, did I try my best? A or D...it did not matter as long as I tired my best!
