More April Showers

Monday, May 9th, 2011

Not showers, pictures! Although, on the news earlier this week, I heard that it rained all but 4 days in April this year, so I could have all rainy pictures…Anyway, here’s the rest of April!

Monday, April 18

Sally, the fat cat, Fred, and Cal. Playing.

Tuesday, April 19

Oliver loves his puppy

Wednesday, April 20

Oliver wanted to be in my 27 week belly shot.

Thursday, April 21

Isn't technology amazing? This is Laura's foot. She likes to kick at anything she can, whenever she can, which is most of the day and night now.

Friday, April 22

Today he was living up to his shirt. (and yes, I know this picture has way too much flash, it hurts my eyes to look at it, but the shirt says it all!)

Saturday, April 23

Tonight we dyed Easter eggs with the boys for the first time ever. They turned out pretty good!

Cal trying his hand at dying eggs.

Oliver liked helping too.

Then, of course, we had to cover our colored eggs with stickers!

And, of course, Cal refused any help putting his stickers on. And he did well, only cracking one egg.

Sunday, April 24
Happy Easter!

The Easter Bunny must not be so bad after all, he left some pretty cool baskets! (and of course I don't have a picture of Calvin's, I don't know how I missed it)

That silly bunny also hid our decorated eggs all over the living room! (and Cal is wearing his pajama shirt and jeans because lately he's been throwing off his pants as soon as he wakes up and running around in just his underwear, which wouldn't make for great internet pictures, so we put pants on him)

After a busy day with family, we relaxed and watched a little Sesame Street in the evening.

Monday, April 25

I love all the fresh green in spring!

Tuesday, April 26

This was on my ceiling. It was as big as my thumb print. I'm not afraid of spiders, but this guy had to go! Fred put him outside, I hope he stays there!

Wednesday, April 27

Sometimes I let them play with things they normally aren't allowed to, just so I can cook dinner in peace!

Thursday, April 28

This is full of baby girl clothes! I've got some very generous friends to pass on their gently used things!

Friday, April 29

Cal was playing so quietly, that we got suspicious. This is how we found him in the nursery.

Not long after I got out the camera, Cal abandoned his toy for other, more fun parent patience testing activities. But Oliver was right there to snatch up the robot toy, because he is always trying out what his big brother does.

Saturday, April 30
We took advantage of the weather today and went to the Akron Zoo.

Calvin loves the rope bridge, it's probably his favorite part of the zoo.

Oliver's first trip across the rope bridge.

Bonus:

Thursday, April 14
Hey, I found a picture from today (on my cell phone)!

The boys are in the dog house! HAHA!

Spikes! And can you see the matching bumps on their heads? Boys...

Thursday, April 14
Somehow I always miss pictures on Thursdays.

Friday, April 15

Squeaky clean!

Shark Attack!

Saturday, April 16

Tonight, the Hulk came to dinner at our house. And we served him our finest plastic food!

Sunday, April 17

Cal was teaching the Hulk how to wash his hands.

Friday, April 1

Calvin and Oliver's new ride!

We did it! We bought a minivan. Even we were surprised, because we went to the dealership just to get an idea of what kind of car/SUV/minvan we could afford and what kind of trade we could get for my car.  The stars were aligned this day and it was just meant to be.  We got a great deal on a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan.  And I have to say, while I was very sad to see my little car go, the more I drive the swag wag, the more I like it. It’s definitely made with convenience in mind; power opening doors (with remote opening!) and trunk, steering wheel mounted radio controls, power adjusting seats, the passenger windows even roll down (power of course). The down side; it’s a minivan and makes me feel like a boring old mom, and it guzzles gas.  So now I’m really watching where we go in it, gas prices, and keeping track of my “fuel perks” from the grocery store.

Saturday, April 2 and Sunday, April 3
I guess I was too busy with the new van to take any pictures. I don’t even remember what we did this weekend. I’m sure it was fun though!

Monday, April 4

This is the mood of the entire day.

This week I was on spring break. The boys and I stayed home through the cold and rainy days and tried to get the house cleaned up a little bit. Exciting, right?

Tuesday, April 5

Nerd

I have no idea what this picture was about. I know we were getting ready to give the boys a bath, but I don’t remember why Fred had his pants hiked up so high and that goofy look on his face!

Wednesday, April 6

Spring cleaning

I hope he is as eager to help clean when he gets older!

Thursday, April 7

More cleaning. Can you tell how happy Oliver is about it?

Friday, April 8

Spring break fun.

Saturday, April 9

Mr. Independent washing his hands all by himself.

Sunday April 10
Finally, we got some nice weather; high 70′s and sunny! So we took advantage of the day and played outside.

Blowing bubbles after playing, or rather soaking himself, at the water table.

Boo-boos and Bubbles!

Cute Baby Saturday (and many other days)

Saturday, March 5th, 2011

I’m behind again on sharing my 365 pictures with you.  Sorry about that, I don’t really have an excuse other than life just gets away from me most days!  So here we go:

Feb 17

He likes to feed the dog and then say "Uh Oh!"

Feb 18

Cal said he was going to school. In his pajamas. At 7:30 p.m.

Feb 19
I cannot find today’s picture. Hmm, maybe I forgot to take one.

Feb 20

Oliver says “Boo!”
And then offered his blanket to his sick brother, thoughtful, isn’t he? Too bad Cal didn’t appreciate it.

Feb 21
Happy Presidents Day!  We took the boys to the local McD’s for lunch and let them play in the big play area. Those things really are the best inventions for winter days!

You never outgrow playing with Happy Meal toys.

Feb 22
Snow day # 1 for the week!

Making green snow. It was too cold to go out with runny noses, so we brought the snow in!

Yum, green snow!

Feb 23
Did you hear?  We’re having a baby girl! Picture of the day deserved it’s own post!

Feb 24
Snow day number 2 of the week! Making this week only 2 work days long (for me, Fred had to go in 3 days).

A boy and his dog.

Feb 25

Do not touch Daddy's burrito!

Feb 26
We took the boys to Dr. Suess story time at Target.

Oliver liked listening to Green Eggs and Ham

Cal liked the coloring pages.

Feb 27

I swear, 2 seconds before I took this picture they were both sitting nicely giggling. Then Cal fell over.

Feb 28

Oliver was helping me cook. Cal was too, but he took off running with his garlic clove. We still haven't found it!

Ok, that’s it for today.  I’ll catch up on March before the month ends, I promise!

Catching up

Wednesday, February 16th, 2011

Oh my the last few weeks have gotten away from me! What have we been up to? Here’s a taste:

Feb 5

Cal seems to like his new booster chair!

Feb. 6

Superbowl Party

Feb. 7

Crayon eating, I mean, coloring (see his blue tooth?).

Feb 8

Today I had to have my neighbor tow my car out of my driveway with his big truck, because the ice made it impossible to get out.  Then about 15 minutes later, on my way to work, a dump truck driver thought it’d be fun to give me a heart attack and try to run me into the median of the high way.  He must not have seen me in the lane next to him before trying to merge.  Thankfully, the only damage done was to my passenger side mirror.  I’m pretty sure he didn’t even realize he did it, since he didn’t stop.

Feb 9
I don’t have a picture for this day, but I have a link to a picture of some very yummy Brownie Stuffed Chocolate Chip Cookies from a very talented baker/blogger, Picky-Palate.  I made them on Feb 9, and they were delicious!

Feb 10

Yep, 18 weeks pregnant and looking round!

Feb 11

Playing in the bath…these are supposed to be stuck to the tub floor to keep the boys from slipping.  Cal likes to put them on the wall instead.

Feb 12

Sick babies are no fun.  Both Oliver and Cal are on antibiotics for Sinusitis right now.  And I’m pretty sure they shared their bug with Fred and I.

But later, both he and Cal enjoyed some yummy mexican food and birthday cake.

And while I had to wear a goofy Mexican hat while the staff sang “happy birthday” to me and everyone in the restaurant stared at my cake littered with way too many colorful 30′s, I did get a pretty awesome birthday gift from the very best husband ever.

Feb 13

A perfect sunset to end a pretty great 30th birthday, even with 2 snotty nosed boys.  We stayed in, made cupcakes, took naps, and read books.

Feb 14

Valentine’s evening cuddling.

Feb 15

I wonder what they’re collaborating on.

Feb 16

Fred was teasing them with a small tape measure.  Cal thought it was hilarious, Oliver not so much, he ended up screaming very soon after this picture was taken.  He’s so much like me, it’s scary.

I’m missing a few days between my last picture update and this one, but I can’t find the pictures!  I blame my camera; when I took the batteries out to charge them, the camera lost track of the date.  I don’t know how I didn’t notice this, but all of the pictures I’ve taken since Feb 2 are dated sometime in 2006, making it really hard to order them.  So I lost a couple days.  But I’ll have it all fixed tomorrow, when I put new batteries in the camera again.
