Last Week in Review: Out and About
Monday, July 27th, 2009Another whirlwind week gone. Fred and I have just under a month left until we both go back to work (I’ll be back for about a month or so when Baby J 2.0 is due). Where did the summer go?!? It seems like we’ve gotten really busy lately:
- We’ve been working on switching Calvin over to all table food, rather than baby food, and this week we had some fun meals. One of them being “pan spaghetti” which is baked spaghetti with pepperoni, I’ll post the recipe later, Fred’s mom gave it to me and we love it. So does Calvin!
- While Fred and my step-brother, Matt painted Calvin’s new room, I took Cal shopping. We went searching for a dresser to go in his new room, but we didn’t find one. I think Fred and I are going to have to take a trip to Ikea before school starts back up.
- Fred also worked on making a hinged gate for our deck. We’ve had an incident or two where Calvin has tried to climb off the deck. The gate looks great and keeps Calvin safe on the deck, that’s one less thing to worry about now!
- Cal and I visited my aunt and cousin and her kids at my grandmother’s house. My cousin has 3 kids, a 10 year old boy, a 3 year old girl, and a very busy 2 year old boy. All 4 of the kids had a great time playing together.
- I had another doctor’s appointment this week, Baby J is growing and growing. The doctor said everything looks great, no problems in sight. Baby J is kicking me all the time, especially at night; making it hard to sleep. But that’s just getting me used to staying up all night again, right?
- A friend and I went to our second sewing class on Saturday. It wasn’t quite what we were expecting. For a 3 hour class in which we were supposed to make a tote bag, the instructor spent the first 2 hours talking. Needless to say, my tote bag is not finished and I have to find time to go back to the store to have someone help me finish it. But, I am getting a refund for the class fee!
That’s about it for us, hope you had a good week and aren’t too disappointed with the unseasonably cool weather we’ve been having in NEO. I know I’m not complaining this summer (next summer will be different, because I won’t be pregnant!)!
